The PHP and MySQL Masterclass will take you through all the important features you’ll need when developing your own dynamic websites and applications.

What you will learn

PHP has powerful Object Oriented Programming abilities, and we’ll take you through how to take advantage of these to build your own re-usable classes. You’ll learn how to keep user-specific data between scripts with sessions.
 
We’ll show you how to access and manipulate files and folders on the server, including reading, editing and outputting images on the fly. You’ll also get an overview of using PHP with the Unix cron job system, allowing you to run PHP scripts at regular intervals without user interaction.
 
Before the day is done we’ll take you through creating a simple CMS (Content Management System), the basis of almost any dynamic website, and the best way to keep your content and design separate yet have both easy to manage by yourself or end users.

Assumed knowledge

Web Developer You’ll need a working knowledge of both PHP and MySQL to take this course, preferably with some experience writing your own code. We recommend you first take our PHP and MySQL Essentials course unless you've already been working with PHP for some time. Please get in touch with our office if unsure.
