Course Objectives
- Create multiline styles and Multilines. Create circular shaped polylines with the Donut command. Use the Ray and Xline commands to create construction geometry. Create revision clouds on the drawing and hide portions of the drawing with wipeout objects. Use the Boundary command to create polyline or region based boundaries. Create 2D solids with the Region command and modify those regions with the Union, Subtract and Intersection commands.
- Create selection sets based on an object’s properties. Purge unreferenced objects from the drawing. Explode Compound objects into their underlying component objects. Divide or measure objects with points or blocks. Use the Geometry Calculator to perform geometric calculations on objects in the drawing.
- Create centre marks and ordinate dimensions. Apply geometric tolerances to dimensions. Create and manage dimension styles and style overrides.
- Use Design Centre™ and Tool Palettes to access reusable content. Create, manage and share custom tool palettes and existing drawings for use as references with the Xref command
- Create blocks to reuse common objects across multiple drawings. Use attributes to add non-geometric information to objects, and then extract the information contained in those attributes for use in other areas.
- Use the Block Editor environment to create and reuse multi-purpose and multi-view dynamic blocks.
- Use the Layer Properties Manager to create and use layer filters and layer states. Describe layer standards and how they can be used to promote commonality across drawings and disciplines.
- Create, edit and work with layouts and multiple views of varying scales. Control object visibility in layout Viewports and apply Trans-spatial dimension from the layout to objects in the viewport.
- Use plotter configuration files and plot style tables to control the way your drawings appear when you plot them. Use the Publish command to create DWF™ files and batch plot drawings.
- Use the Sheet Set Manager to create, edit, manage and publish sheet sets. Use field functionality with text and attributes in a sheet set.
- Use drawing templates to simplify the process of creating new drawings that contain all the required dimension styles, text styles and layers that you would otherwise create manually, each time you created a new drawing.
